The start to my Tuesday was very special this week. We had the opportunity to have breakfast and a Q&A with some LPGA players as well as some legends of the game. I sat at the same table as Val Skinner, Jan Stephenson and Cindy Rarick. This was a great experience and nice to be able to get some advice from them.
We then had a panel which included Beth Daniel, Pat Bradley, Nancy Lopez, Meg Mallon, Jennifer Song and Brooke Pancake. It was really interesting to hear the things they wish they knew now about when they first started on tour, etc. They gave some great advice which was very helpful.
After the morning breakfast, I then played nine holes of practice. It was good to get a feel for the course. It is in fantastic shape this year, in particular, the greens. They are pretty firm which makes them challenging, but they are rolling very nicely.
In the early afternoon, I came back to my host family's house to eat lunch and rest a little bit. This week is very busy so it's important to rest when I can. I then went back to the course to do a little short-game practice. Worked on my wedges and putting as they are going to be crucial this week at Stoney Point.
Finally, I spent the evening with my host family and their next-door neighbors who are also hosting a couple of Canadian girls. It was really nice to be able to relax and have some fun this evening!
