Calhoun Falls’ varsity girls basketball team defeated Whitmire 51-29 Thursday night.

Jasmine Cade led the Blue Flashes with 22 points followed by Autumn Thomas with 19.

Calhoun Falls improved to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in Region 1-1A.

The Vikings ended a two-game losing skid with the victory. Shep Forrester scored a team-high 17 points. KJ Morton added 13 points and Demarion Rapp scored 12 points.

Emerald improved to 3-3 on the season.

Ninety Six’s varsity girls basketball team defeated Liberty 48-25 for a region win Tuesday. Jada Newson and Aubrie Middleton led the Wildcats, each scoring 12 points.

Aniya Louden scored eight points. Gabby Hart and Chaney Smith each scored four points and Arrianna Culbreath scored three points.

Greenwood Christian’s varsity girls basketball team defeated Calhoun Falls Tuesday. Caroline Reed led the Hawks with 25 points.

Abigail Summey added 11 points. Spencer Abrams and Nicole Shirley each scored four points. Lauren Gilbert added two points.

Northside’s boys basketball team defeated Edgewood Wednesday.

For Edgewood, Joshua Brooks had four points and Kayden Payne and Carver Davis each had two points.
