Abbeville remained as the No. 1-ranked team in Class 2A and Saluda maintained its No. 7 ranking in the latest SC prep football media poll rankings.

Greenwood is still out of the rankings in Class 5A, but the Eagles’ 49-22 upset win over T.L. Hanna made the Yellow Jackets fall from No. 6 to No. 10. Greenwood improved to 3-3 and will host Wade Hampton on Friday night on homecoming.

Dutch Fork remained the top-ranked team in the state and received all 11 first-place votes.

Saluda defeated Silver Bluff 55-0 to open region play.

The Tigers will host Ninety Six on Friday.

Abbeville received 10 first-place votes this week. Barnwell received one first-place vote.

In Class 1A, no Lakelands team cracked the top 10. Wagener-Salley reclaimed the No. 1 ranking after receiving seven first-place votes.

Green Sea Floyds and Lamar each received two first-place votes.

Dixie’s Week 7 opponent, Whitmire, received votes in 1A.

Defending state champion Myrtle Beach maintained its unanimous spot at No. 1 in Class 4A after last week’s win against Hartsville.
