Thomas Callaham, 58, of 104 Walker Avenue, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at The Hospice House of the Piedmont. Born in McCormick, he was the son of the late Hillary Callaham Jr. and Mary Brown Callaham. He was a 1982 graduate of McCormick High School and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Darren Gilchrist of McCormick; one daughter, Shauna Smith-Callaham of Greenwood; one step-son, Demarcus Simon of Greenwood; one step-daughter, Kwmeshia Simon of Greenwood; a devoted friend, Ada Simon; two brothers, Ronnie (Christy) Callaham of Greenwood and Randy Callaham of Washington, DC; two sisters, Jane (Lonnie) Moton of McCormick and Kim Callaham of Washington, DC; one grandchild, Amauri Smith and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services are noon Saturday, September 21, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Michael Butler. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of a niece, Tameka Moton, 467 Talbert Road, McCormick.
