Donald Fred Duff
Donald Fred Duff, 89, resident of 104 Crestview Drive, joined the love of his life, Jean Southerland Duff, in Heaven on July 22, 2019.
Born April 9, 1930, in Greenwood, he was the son of the late William “Jack” S. and Lois Hamrick Duff. A 1948 graduate of Greenwood High School, he was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict Era. Mr. Duff retired from Greenwood Mills, Durst Plant, as a supervisor after many years of dedicated service.
Fred was a member of Jordan Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of Greenwood Masonic Lodge, #91, A.F.M., was one of the founding members of the Greenwood Motorcycle Club and was a life member of the Greenwood Moose Lodge #834.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy D. and husband Ted Bourne of Donalds; a son, Ricky Duff and wife Lynn of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Tricia (Mike) Steadman, Scott (Kaitlyn) Bourne, Heather (Josh) Simmons and Amanda Duff; seven great-grandchildren, Teddi (Trent) Uldrick, Breann Steadman, Abry Brown, Tripp Bourne, Reagan Simmons, Amelia Simmons and Luke Simmons; three great-great grandchildren, Mack Uldrick, Pat Uldrick and Wells Uldrick. He is also survived by a brother, Charles C. Duff.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jean, of 68 years, by his daughter, Patricia Gail Duff and by his brother, William “Jack” H. Duff.
Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Andy Bowers officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ted Bourne, Scott Bourne, Tripp Bourne, Mike Steadman, Trent Uldrick and Chris Perry.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 Thursday morning.
