Catherine Jennings “Cat” West, 86, resident of Patrick Road, wife of Rufus Troy “RT” West died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at her home.

Born in Greenwood, October 20, 1931, she was a daughter of the late James Beauregard Jennings, Jr. and Ida Pearl Bodie Jennings. Mrs. West was a graduate of McCormick High School and retired from Self Memorial Hospital after over 20 years of employment. She was a member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Vesta West Quarles of Bolivar, MO and a son, Jennings Troy “Tronie” West and wife GeJuan H. West of Greenwood; her twin sister, Carolyn J. Scott of Chatam, VA; six grandchildren, Mindy Quarles, Palmer West (Kelley), Clay Quarles (Krystal), Bree West Cockrell (Cody), Ari West and Teale West and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Tucker and the Rev. Rick Hendricks officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.

The family is at the home on Patrick Road and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 Thursday evening.
