These arrests were reported this past week by Greenwood-area law enforcement agencies. The information presented is provided via daily intake logs from the Greenwood County Detention Center and reports written by the arresting agencies’ officers. Those listed who have their charges dropped or are found not guilty can provide official documentation of the action to the Index-Journal for publication of the case’s outcome.

Meldrecous Larvell Jones, 20, of 135 Feed Mill Road, Greenwood was arrested Oct. 25 by Greenwood police and charged with simple possession of marijuana and distribute, sell, purchase or manufacture drug other than crack cocaine, or possession with intent to distribute near a school. Police stopped a driver on Oct. 25 and during the stop found a bag with about 2.6 grams of marijuana on the driver, as well as a bag of 63 blue pills identified as fentanyl.
Jonathan Nathaniel Morton Jr., 22, of 3516 Ridge Road, Hodges was arrested Oct. 26 by Greenwood County deputies and charged with financial transaction card fraud and simple possession of marijuana. An arrest report was not immediately made available.
Ayana Jamika Parks, 25, of 645 Percival St., Greenwood was arrested Oct. 25 by Greenwood County deputies and charged with unlawful neglect to a child. Greenwood County Drug Enforcement Unit agents did a warranted search on Oct. 8 at a Percival Avenue residence, finding substances that tested positive for crack cocaine and heroin, along with multiple pills. Two other people were arrested prior to Ayana Parks’ booking.
Quentico Jason Dunlap, 27, of 629 Little Mountain Road, Ninety Six was arrested Oct. 28 by Greenwood County deputies and charged with attempted murder and probation violation. Following a shooting at 904 Emerald Road that left one man shot in the leg, deputies arrested a suspect who was identified by witnesses at the scene.
Jeremy Allen Fleming, 37, of 1924 Nation Road, Greenwood was arrested Wednesday by Greenwood County deputies and charged with kidnapping, second-degree domestic violence, high and aggravated domestic violence, probation violation, resisting arrest and unlawful conduct toward a child. An arrest report was not immediately made available.
Travis Antonio Greene, 31, of 449 Grace St., Greenwood was arrested Thursday by Greenwood police and charged with financial transaction card fraud. A local business owner told police he believed a recently hired employee had used his debit card to make unauthorized purchases on Ebay, totaling nearly $200.
Heather Leighann Hall, 26, of 1237 Old Barnwell Road, Aiken was arrested Wednesday by Greenwood police and charged with unlawful carrying of pistol and trafficking in methamphetamine, 28 grams or more, but less than 100 grams, first offense. Police received a tip Wednesday night that a truck being driven around was transporting a large amount of methamphetamine. After finding and stopping the truck, officers found more than 215 grams of meth and about 6 grams of marijuana.
