A second Greenwood man is facing charges in connection with an August shooting where two men in a car fired at another vehicle, according to a report.

Stephan Lamar Reid, 27, of 733 White Oak Lane, Greenwood was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted murder, a family court bench warrant and possession of a weapon during commission of a crime.

Several Greenwood police officers gathered Aug. 12 near Hollman Street after one officer reported hearing gunshots nearby and had met with three people who said shots had been fired at them.

One of the three people said they had all been in a car driving along White Oak Lane looking for a relative, but when they couldn’t find him, they turned around and left.

As the trio drove off, the passenger in the back seat said he saw two men he recognized following them, before the two men began shooting at the trio. The driver of the car in front lost control and wrecked, while the shooters drove past.

Officers were able to find and detain one of the accused shooters, but weren’t able to immediately find the other man identified as a shooter.
