Daaisha Johnson, 22, of 207 New Market St., Greenwood was arrested Thursday and charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Greenwood police went Thursday to a New Market Street residence where someone had been stabbed, according to a report.

Officers spoke with a man covering his stomach and lower back with a bloody towel who said he was stabbed by a relative.

Officers tried to stanch the bleeding while EMS staff arrived to offer treatment. The man told police two relatives came over and one began fighting with someone else. He tried to break up the fight, the report said, but was stabbed three times by his other relative.

The two relatives then got into a red vehicle and left, the report said.

Also arrested in connection with this case was Shaneekua Hutonda Young, 40, of 200 Holman St., Greenwood, who faces a charge of second-degree assault and battery.
