Police made short work of a call about a stolen van when the van’s owner was able to track it using GPS monitoring, according to a report.

Ross David Rogers Jr., 22, of 1315 Old Edgefield Road, Ninety Six was arrested Monday and charged with grand larceny greater than $2,000 and driving under suspension, first offense.

At about 6:30 a.m. Monday, Greenwood police went to T.W. Boons where an employee said he stepped outside and saw a shirtless man driving away in the employee’s work van, the report said. He told police the van had GPS tracking, and officers used that to find and stop the van on S.C. Highway 34 near Ninety Six.
