Shooting 01

Police were investigating a Thursday night shooting at the Quickway convenience store and gas station on Ninety Six Highway, according to officials.

Greenwood police worked Thursday night to investigate a call of shots fired at the Quickway convenience store on Ninety Six Highway, said Greenwood Police Department Public Information Officer Jonathan Link.

Link said officers responded to a call at 8 p.m. of shots fired at the gas station and convenience store. Initially, he said they were told someone had fled on foot from the scene, but as information came in they learned there were two vehicles that left the scene following the shooting.

Link said there was no evidence that anyone had been hit during the shooting, but that officers were working to investigate the situation.
