A Greenwood man was arrested on Friday after police said he intentionally rammed his truck into another vehicle earlier in the week.

Michael Jarod Keel, 44, of 145 Pressley St., Apt. C, Greenwood, was arrested Friday morning and charged with first-degree domestic violence.

At 12:10 a.m. June 10, Keel struck a woman’s vehicle head-on in the Greenwood Motel parking lot, reversed, and struck it a second time, Greenwood Police said in an incident report.

After both parties exited their vehicles, the man got into the car he hit, took the key and fled the scene in his truck. Police said the car was hit so hard it was nearly pushed into an adjacent building.

Authorities said a witness described the truck as matching the description of one the man used for his job with a local engineering firm.
