Janija Brenay Nicholson, 20, of 306 N. Cambridge St., Ninety Six was arrested Thursday and charged with lottery/intent to defraud, counterfeit game tickets and breach of trust with fraudulent intent, less than $2,000.

On July 16, Greenwood County deputies went to the Lil' Cricket at 703 Ninety Six Highway and spoke with a manager who said an employee had stolen multiple lottery tickets and used some of the winnings to pay for them, according to a report.

The manager said she viewed security camera video and saw the employee take nine tickets, scratch them off and use the S.C. Education Lottery machine to collect the winnings.
