Deputies are still investigating a shooting last week that injured one woman and left bullet holes in the room where her great-grandchildren were sleeping.
At about 1:12 a.m. Nov. 6, Greenwood County deputies were called out to 141 Marshall Circle for a shooting investigation, the report said. Once there, officers saw bullet holes in the left front window and wall area.
A woman came to the door appearing to have been shot in the left hip, where she was bleeding from, the report said. She told officers she was asleep in the front bedroom, where the bullet holes were, and her great-grandchildren were asleep in a bedroom to the rear of the house.
EMS staff took the woman to the hospital for treatment, and deputies collected spent ammunition casings from the roadway. The woman had told officers she heard a vehicle with a loud exhaust leaving the area following the shooting.
The case remains under investigation.
