Thaddeus Deon Devlin Jr., 24, of 636 Taggart Ave., Greenwood was arrested by Greenwood police Oct. 6, 2018 and charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol, simple possession of marijuana, no tag light, no state driver’s license and a bench warrant. On Sept. 11, He was indicted on a federal charge of unlawful transport of firearms in connection with that arrest, according to court documents.

The indictment said Devlin knowingly carried a .45-caliber pistol and ammunition on Oct. 6, 2018, having previously been convicted of a crime punishable by more than a year behind bars.

According to a police report, while Devlin was stopped by police that night for not having a working tail light, officers learned he didn’t have a driver’s license.
