Two men were arrested Tuesday morning after Laurens County deputies investigated a shooting the previous night that left a motorcyclist with a gunshot wound to his arm, according to a news release from the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office.

Laurens deputies were called out at 11:20 p.m. Monday to the area of the Hot Spot gas station on Highway 221 South, the release said. There, they found a motorcyclist who had been shot in the arm.

The biker and another witness gave a description of the people involved in the shooting and their vehicle, and soon after deputies were able to find a vehicle that matched that description. Two people were in the vehicle, and both were arrested in connection with the shooting.

Austin William McDonald, 26, of Greenville Church Road, Donalds was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Taliaferro Mial Cunningham, 21, of East Main Street, Ware Shoals was arrested and charged with high and aggravated breach of peace.
