Two children were made to stay with a relative after a state Department of Social Services agent discovered unlivable conditions in their home, according to a report.

Clara Dee Cobb, 28, of 3925 Wilbert St., Greenwood was arrested Tuesday and charged with unlawful neglect to a child.

Greenwood County Drug Enforcement Unit agents went Tuesday to a Wilbert Street residence, where they told a woman living there they had a search warrant, the report said. When agents went inside, they saw garbage in the residence along with several mice and animal feces on the floor, the report said.

The residence was powered by a generator -- which was not on when agents arrived -- and did not have running water, the report said. Two children living there -- a 6-year-old and an 11-year-old -- were sent to stay with a relative, the report said.
