Greenwood Commissioners of Public Works has announced a boil water advisory from 1701 to 1809 E. Durst Ave., including the Brentwood subdivision, because of a contractor boring through a main line.

Residents and businesses in the area are asked to boil water for at least one minute prior to drinking or cooking.

Low pressures and no water in the service area have been detected and could lead to contamination. CPW said “immediate actions are being taken” to fix the problem.

Once sampling confirms the water’s safety, a notice rescinding the advisory will be issued. For information, call 864-942-8100.
