NINETY SIX - Mr. Moses Kemp, born on March 1, 1916 to the late Lawrence and Mary Kemp, departed this life on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Mr. Kemp is the widower of Mrs. Claudia Sanders-Kemp. He attended the Ninety Six Colored Schools, was a faithful member of the Ninety Six Senior Citizens Center and served in WW II. He was a member of Pine Pleasant Baptist Church, where he joined at an early age. He was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Marlene Kemp Rankin of Georgia; sister, Mrs. Helen Kemp Caldwell of Ninety Six; one grandson, David Rankin of Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Services are 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Joseph Caldwell. Presiding will be Rev. James W. Price. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery (Ninety Six Community Cemetery). The family is at the home of a nephew, Crosby Caldwell, 2815 Highway 34, in Ninety Six. Online condolences may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
