MR. AND MRS. ADAM WALTER PETERSON Barbara Mason Dunlap

Barbara Mason Dunlap and Adam Walter Peterson, both of Greenville, SC, were united in marriage June 1, 2019, in Greenville, SC.

Dr. Kyle Hite of Greenwood, SC, officiated.

Music was presented by Luara Koelle, cello and Keith Groover, guitar, both of Greenville, SC.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Barbie Doss Dunlap and Mr. Thornwell Dunlap III, both of Greenwood, SC.

She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Rufus Thornwell Dunlap Jr. of Greenwood, SC, and the late Mr. Rufus Thornwell Dunlap Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Newel Childs of Boca Raton, FL.

She graduated from Emerald High School class of 2010. She graduated from Presbyterian College Class of 2014, with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and History.

Mason is co-owner of Blossom Shoes and Such in Greenville, SC.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ernest Peterson Jr., of Hartsville, SC.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ernest Peterson of Sumter, SC, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Orell Hebert Smith of Hartsville, SC.

He graduated from Presbyterian College in 2014, with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.

Adam is an agent with Adam Peterson State Farm Insurance.

Bridesmaids were Mrs. Amanda Rowland Dunlap, Mrs. Kela Davis Dunlap and Mrs. Kayla Peterson Tavernier, all of Greenwood, SC, and all sisters-in-law of the bride.

Flower Girl was Larkin Elizabeth Dunlap of Greenwood, SC, niece of the bride.

Mason wore a gown by designer Hayley Paige. The gown was ivory crepe, sheath fit, with an appliquéd illusion bodice, with cap sleeves and sweetheart neckline, with an open keyhole back and fitted crepe skirt. Small ivory pearls from her mother’s wedding dress were stitched on top of the lace.

She wore her mother’s cathedral-length veil and had the lace from her dress hand-embroidered on the train.

The bridal bouquet was a cascading arrangement consisting of white and blush peony, white and blush garden rose, quicksand rose, white lisianthus, white ranunculus and white stock, all banded together with lace from her dress and a handkerchief from her great-grandmother.

Best Man was Mr. Walter Peterson of Hartsville, SC, father of the groom.

Groomsmen were Mr. Rufus Thornwell Dunlap V, Mr. Barrie Larkin Dunlap and Dr. Jared Preston Tavernier, all of Greenwood, SC, and all brothers-in-law of the groom.

Ushers were Mr. Stephen Sasser of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Stephen Doss of Spotsylvania, VA, and Mr. Scott Callison of Lexington, SC, all uncles of the bride and Mr. Cole Doss of Spotsylvania, VA, Mr. Reel Callison of Greenville, SC, and Mr. Justin Lambert of Denver, CO, all cousins of the bride.

Ring bearer was Rufus Thornwell Dunlap VI, nephew of the bride.

Program attendants were Miss Caroline Doss and Miss. Mackenzie Doss, both of Spotsylvania, VA, and both cousins of the bride.

Rehearsal dinner took place at Larkins On the River and was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Peterson, parents of the groom.

Reception took place at Westfield in Greenville, SC, and was hosted by Mr. Thornwell Dunlap and Ms. Barbie Dunlap.

After honeymooning to South Africa in January 2020, the couple will reside in Greenville, SC.
