Children ages 15 and younger will be admitted free Aug. 3, during the Federation of Historical Bottle Collectors 50th Anniversary Antique Bottle Show and Expo at the Augusta Convention Center.

Tickets for those age 16 and older are $5.

The show will have lots of early American glass in assorted colors and bottles of varying shapes and designs.

Register children for activities at the front desk.

Children’s activities include grab bag opportunities with antique bottles and a scavenger hunt in conjunction with more than 100 antique bottle dealers at the show. Limit one grab bag per child.

The show is Thursday through Saturday. Experts in early American glass will be available to make appraisals of bottles or flasks brought in by the public.

For information, contact publicity chairman Bill Babb: riverswamper@comcast.net.

There will be six free seminars on antique bottle-related subjects from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday that are open to the public. The seminars are in meeting rooms of the Marriott Hotel adjacent to the convention center.
