Chip and Kristi Rush of Rush Heating & Cooling and Rush Hobby & Garden have been named the Greenwood SC Chamber’s Small Business Persons of the Year. They will be honored at a luncheon on Oct. 27 as a part of the Chamber’s annual Small Business festivities.
This recognition is important to the small business community according to Chamber Interim President & CEO David Dougherty.
“Being selected means that you are not only dedicated to your business, but have had a positive influence on customers and your community. Small businesses are the heart and soul of our great community, so we find great joy in working with them and honoring those who contribute to the Greenwood community.” he said.
Chip and Kristi’s nominator said, “Their philosophy is that the people who work with them are co-workers not employees. Their main focus as business owners isthe well-being of their co-workers and customers.
The Rushes will be honored at the 31st Small Business Awards Luncheon presented by Countybank at the Harris Baptist Church from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The luncheon will feature award-winning Greenville businessman James Bennett, owner of Upstate Home Care Solutions, LLC. He will discuss his tips for Small Businesses Steps for Success.
