The Baptist Education and Missionary Convention of South Carolina partnered with the United States Department of Agriculture Farmers to Families Food Box Program to help keep families healthy. The Little River Missionary Baptist Association is a member of The Baptist Education and Missionary Convention of South Carolina recently helped to deliver fresh fruit and vegetable surplus USDA Food Boxes to needy families.

The United States Department of Agriculture partnered with farmers, ranchers, specialty crop producers, food processors and distributers and nonprofit organizations to ensure that all Americans have access to the fresh and wholesome food they need during the COVID-19 national emergency. The USDA Farmers to Families Food Box program began in July and ended in October. The Little River Missionary Baptist Association welcomed the opportunity to help deliver the USDA fresh food boxes to more than 1,750 needy families during the past few months in the Greenwood, Abbeville and McCormick area.

The LRMBA garden at 415 Riley Road in Hodges provided fresh vegetables as a community outreach service from 2009 until 2019.
