The South Carolina District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration recently ranked Countybank No. 1 in South Carolina for SBA 7(a) loan volume.

Countybank also ranked No. 6 in total number of loans for the fiscal year.

This recognition highlights the continued success of Countybank’s SBA lending team and the growth of the program throughout the year.

“Our SBA lending program has grown exponentially since its inception less than three years ago,” said Ken Harper, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Countybank.

“This specialized team has thrived in cultivating relationships with prospects and existing clients, and we are excited to see their hard work recognized across the state.”

Historically, Countybank ranked No. 13 in 2017 and No. 11 in 2018 for loan volume in South Carolina. As the program continues to generate new clients and loans, the bank flourishes by claiming the highest ranking in 2019 out of 92 banks across the state.

“This ranking proves that our SBA program is establishing quickly in South Carolina as a whole,” said Paul Pickhardt, Senior Vice President and SBA Lending Manager of Countybank.

“I’m proud of what our team has accomplished in such a short time and look forward to many more years of supporting small businesses.”

SBA loans offer a multitude of benefits, including long-term financing, excellent business leverage via lower cash injection, and avoiding loan covenants, all while accomplishing an entire project in one loan. Countybank’s SBA lending team consists of Paul Pickhardt, Senior Vice President and SBA Lending Manager; Matthew Cloutier, Vice President and SBA Business Development Officer; Brad Cantrell, Vice President and SBA Business Development Officer; and Lauretta Cross, SBA Loan Administrator.
