The Countybank Foundation, established in 1971 representing Countybank and Greenwood Capital, recently donated $2,500 to the Lakelands Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
David Tompkins, Senior Vice President, Greenwood Market Executive of Countybank, presented the check on behalf of the foundation during the FCA board meeting. “Countybank is proud to support the Lakelands FCA,” says Tompkins. “We look forward to seeing this organization continue to grow and develop.”
The donation will aid the Lakelands FCA in providing scholarships for middle and high school students to attend leadership camps and was given in honor of James R. Fowler, Jr., Executive Vice President, Director of Commercial Banking and Strategic Initiatives of Countybank for his work with the local FCA. Athletics and spiritual wellness are cornerstones for the organization, which is built on developing coaches and athletes in both their sport and their faith.
“The Lakelands Fellowship of Christian Athletes plays an important role in our community in developing our students as Christian leaders in their schools,” said Fowler, chairman and member of the Lakelands FCA board.
“We are extremely grateful and honored for the support of Countybank,” said Andy Rousey, Lakelands FCA Area Representative. “It is because of their heart for our community and this generous donation that students throughout the Lakelands area will have an opportunity to attend life changing leadership camps this summer.”
