The Greenwood American Legion Post 20 Braves baseball team has accomplished a lot under third-year coach Mack Hite. The Braves have won three League 7 titles and made it to the state tournament two times.
But, Post 20 did something Wednesday night that no team has done under Hite’s tutelage.

Sweep a first-round playoff series.
Greenwood came from behind to beat Lancaster 6-2 Wednesday at John Nave Stadium to win the series 3-0 to advance to the second round of the playoffs undefeated. The Braves won the first game Monday 3-2 and the second 10-0 on Tuesday.
Now, the Braves await the winner between Spartanburg and Orangeburg.
