Gage Cervenka has lofty goals when it comes to his wrestling career. The Emerald High School junior wants to be the first heavyweight in South Carolina to be a four-time state champion, which is still achievable after winning titles as a freshman and sophomore.

He wants to be a four-time national champion, too, something that is also still attainable after winning national titles as a freshman and sophomore. And Cervenka wants to win every match he wrestles, which he has almost accomplished. He lost one match early in his freshman season.
Clearly, Cervenka is no stranger to success. But even his most recent achievement shocks Cervenka.
With his pin of Belton-Honea Path's Zach Bolton on Thursday, Cervenka has now won a school record 112 consecutive matches, upping his career record to 118-1.
"It's kind of unbelievable," Cervenka said. "Winning 112 matches without losing one, that's kind of crazy. I don't really know anyone who's ever done that. It's definitely something cool, and it's kind of breathtaking."
