NINETY SIX – The venue for the S.C. Festival of Flowers Men’s Golf Tournament has gone through its share of recent changes in the Lakelands.
The event moved from Greenwood Country Club to the Links at Stoney Point in 2012. And then, from Stoney Point to Patriot Golf Club in 2013.


During this year’s tournament, still at Patriot, Steve Liebler reminded the golf crowd of an more common trend: him winning this event.
Liebler, of Columbia, eagled Patriot’s 18th hole to force a playoff with rising Erskine College sophomore Paul Fitzgerald. Both with a two-round score of 140, they parred the first three playoff holes before Liebler also parred the par-3 fourth.
