Betty T. Ardis Taylor, 66, formerly of 501 Dukes Avenue, wife of Burley Taylor, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Hospice House.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of Fate Turner and the late Lois Harrison Turner. Betty retired from Solutia and was a member of Lowell Street United Methodist Church where she formally taught Sunday school for 14 years to the 3rd and 4th grade class.
Surviving in addition to her husband of McCormick and her father of Simpsonville are two children, Randy Ardis (Tara) of Pensacola, FL and Susan Poole (Terry) of Salley, SC; a sister, Mary Dixon of Greenwood; and three grandchildren, Wesley Ardis, Madison Ardis and Emma Poole.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. M. J. Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be close friends and family.
Honorary escort will be the staff of Petra Healthcare in McCormick.
The family will receive friends before the service Tuesday at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m.
