A woman died early Saturday morning in a one-vehicle crash in McCormick County.
According to McCormick Coroner Faye Puckett, the deceased is Debra Marie Stacy, 41, of Seneca. Stacy died at the scene of the crash.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Cpl. Bill Rhyne said the wreck happened at 1:20 a.m Saturday on S.C. 28, about 12 miles south of the Town of McCormick.

The trooper said Stacy was driving a 2011 Ford Ranger. It was not known whether Stacy was wearing a seat belt, and she was trapped in the vehicle after the crash.
Rhyne said Stacy was heading south on S.C. 28 when her vehicle went off the right side of the road and hit a tree. The vehicle then caught fire.
Puckett said she believes Stacy died from blunt force trauma before the truck caught fire. Puckett said Stacy was on the way to a hospital in Aiken to see her mother.
