One woman was arrested Sunday following a domestic dispute at Georgetown Apartments.
Brittni Johnson, 22, of 751 Northside Drive, Greenwood, was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm in connection with the incident.
According to a Greenwood County incident report, the victim told officers the suspect came to the apartment to pick up some paperwork, noting the suspect had just moved out of the residence two weeks prior to the incident. The victim noted at some point, the suspect became angry after she could not find the documents she needed and an argument ensued. The dispute turned physical and the suspect pulled a gun out of her pocket and pointed it at her, the victim told officers.
The suspect initially fled the scene on a bicycle, but was tracked down a few blocks away and a deputy returned her to the scene. The woman led officers to the gun, a .25-caliber Jimenez Arms handgun, which she had dumped along Northside Drive in front of the Frank G. Russell Career Center. The suspect said she brought the weapon to the apartment for safety, and pulled it out to get the victim to leave her alone. Officers found a container in the suspect's pocket that contained 19 rounds of ammo for the gun. There were no rounds of in the chamber of the gun when deputies found it.
