Being certified through the state Free Clinic Association doesn’t change the services and care provided by Greater Greenwood United Ministry, but it does mean a lot to the nonprofit organization.

"This really brings the clinic to the next level. It shows more public accountability. It’s really background stuff. The clients don’t really see it as the quality of care isn’t going to change. We’ve always had a very high standard in quality care," said Donna Trapp, Greater Greenwood United Ministry clinic coordinator.

Executive director Rosemary Bell said, "The great thing about it is it can increase the possibility of funding options for the future. That’s one thing that the clients will see as maybe more services will be provided for them in the future."
