An elderly Wilson Creek man was arrested Thursday morning for reportedly pulling a gun on his grandson.
Roy Ashley, 73, of 115 Perry Drive, Greenwood, was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm at a person in connection with the incident.
The suspect's 25-year-old grandson visited the man at his home to check on him late Thursday morning. According to a Greenwood County incident report:
When the two entered the house, the suspect went into his bedroom for a short time and returned with a gun in his pocket. The suspect then stood inches from the victim, pulled the silver revolver from his pocket and pointed it at the grandson's chest. When questioned about the incident, the suspect said he was mad his grandson made him lose his driver's license in 2007. When asked if he intended to shoot the man, the suspect asked, "Wouldn't you if someone came into your house?" The grandfather told officers the victim visits his home regularly and comes inside when he does.
The suspect led officers to the gun - a silver revolver loaded with six .357 rounds - which he had placed in the freezer behind a bag.
