A south Greenwood man was arrested Sunday after admitting to sexually assaulting a woman.
Richard Coker, 41, of 327 Cowhead Creek Road, was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with the incident.
Deputies responded to the suspect's home about 4:10 p.m. Sunday in reference to reports of a possible assault and kidnapping.
According to a Greenwood County incident report, officers found the victim in the home's master bedroom vomiting into a bedpan. She told deputies she was sick for the past three days. The woman told officers the suspect sexually assaulted her on Thursday and held her captive in the residence against her will until she was able to call authorities Sunday. When deputies asked the man if the allegations were true, he said he had sexually assaulted the victim against her will several days earlier.
The woman was taken to Self Regional Medical Center for treatment.
