Ninety Six man arrested in case involving officer's wreck, injury

A suspect believed to have led police on a chase in Ninety Six earlier this week that resulted in a police officer's injury was arrested Tuesday.
Michael Gosling, 47, of 408 Pinelake Drive, Ninety Six, was charged with failure to stop for a blue light (third offense) with great bodily injury, reckless driving, no South Carolina driver's license, no vehicle license, operating uninsured vehicle, operating unsafe vehicle in connection with the incident.
Ninety Six police apprehended the suspect one day after the chase, which ensued Monday night. Ninety Six Police Chief Robert Shingler said he could not release details of the pursuit, citing the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Officials confirmed that Cpl. Jeremy McMahan, the officer injured in the chase, was in stable condition at Self Regional Medical Center as of Wednesday.
