Longtime Greenwood City Councilwoman Niki Hutto pleaded guilty Friday morning in connection with a traffic incident from September 2010.
Hutto pleaded guilty to reckless driving and open container of wine in regard to a Sept. 26, 2010 arrest. Hutto was originally charged with DUI and open container in the case.
As part of a negotiated plea, the DUI charge was dismissed and she subsequently pleaded guilty to reckless driving and open container.
Hutto was fined $200 for reckless driving and $100 for open container.
Following the hearing, Hutto expressed relief the 3-year-old case was finally at an end.

"Everyone's life involves compromise," Hutto said. "I'm glad to finally have a resolution for this incident. I look forward to the future."
