It doesn’t take hard numbers to figure out May’s Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic professional golf tournament was a success.
However, those number do speak loudly.


The Links at Stoney Point owner and tournament chairman Jim Medford appeared before Greenwood City Council Monday night and talked about the success of the 2014 Women’s Health Classic, which is  a Symetra Tour event.
The Symetra Tour is a stepping-stone tour to the LPGA.
The biggest takeaway from Medford’s presentation: The first Women’s Health Classic had an economic impact on Greenwood of more than $2 million.
