A number of juveniles were taken into custody Thursday and charged with armed robbery, burglary in the first degree, petit larceny and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

According to a Greenwood Police Department incident report, the victims said five to eight males, with approximate ages of 14-18, approached them, with three of the suspects throwing one victim to the ground outside of an apartment on New Market Street.

One of the suspects then put a semi-automatic pistol to the head of one of the victims and told him he would be killed if he did not comply. The suspects took $350 in cash from the victims and entered the residence, taking $200 in cash.

The suspects then fled the apartment, one apparently on a bike and the others on foot.

Four suspects were found by police in a vehicle near the Brewer Community Complex.
