A Hodges man was arrested following reports of more than $3,200 worth of materials stolen from a construction worksite in north Greenwood last month.
Stephen Kelley, 53, of 503 Miller Road, Hodges, was charged with grand larceny, value more than $2,000 but less than $10,000, and transportation or possession of stolen nonferrous metals in connection with the incident.
He became the second suspect booked in reference to the alleged theft. Nathan Boswell, 39, of 1013 E. Northside Drive, Greenwood, was arrested by Greenwood police Aug. 27 in a separate incident. Records indicate he was charged two days later in connection with the Greenwood County theft report. His listed charges were the same as Kelley's, court records showed.

According to a Greenwood County incident report, deputies met with the victim Aug. 22, who said copper wiring and tubing was left at a construction site along Windtree Road the night before. Crews returned to the site the following afternoon and the materials were gone, the victim told officers. He estimated the worth of the wire and tubing to be about $3,220.
Officers followed a line of tire tracks that began at the construction site and led to a residence along Northside Drive, where deputies found a Harley Davidson registered to the Greenwood suspect.
