Greenwood police are investigating reports of an armed home invasion Wednesday night at New Haven Apartments.
Officers responded to the Greenwood housing complex along New Market Street just after 7 p.m. According to a Greenwood police report three victims inside the apartment indicated two men entered the unit and robbed them. One of the residents said the men knocked on the front door and she found the suspects at her doorstep dressed in all black when she answered it.
The victims described one of the suspects as thin and average height, indicating he pointed a long black and brown firearm at them. The other suspect, described as tall and heavyset, wore a mask covering his face from the eyes down.
The victims said the taller suspect stole a pink wallet containing $800 in cash from one of the bedrooms. None of victims were able to identify either of the robbers. Greenwood County's bloodhound team responded but was unable to trace the suspect's escape route.
