One man was arrested after Greenwood County narcotics agents discovered a meth lab at a home Thursday night near Lake Greenwood.
Kirby Owen, 50, of 305 Trestle Road, Greenwood, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of ephedrine in an altered state and drug/narcotic violations in connection with the incident.
According to a Greenwood County incident report, agents from the county drug enforcement task force went to the scene to serve a warrant on the suspect and another man who lived at the residence. The suspect opened the door and allowed agents to search the residence.
Agents found an inactive shake-and-bake "one pot" bottle filled with a substance that tested positive for meth and ephedrine inside the home, the report stated. Officers also found an ephedrine substance on a kitchen counter and several items commonly used to cook the drug.
