The officers saw two men exit the vehicle and begin running, and police apprehended the suspect behind a house on the block.
The suspect told officers the other man in the vehicle told him to run because there were drugs in the car. He advised police the vehicle belonged to him.
Officers searched the car and found a smoking pipe and an open Seagram's gin bottle containing alcohol in the front seat. They also found a black traveling bag in the trunk of the vehicle that contained 29.2 grams of a substance thought to be marijuana.
