Four people face gun charges after being arrested in Hodges late Monday night.
Chelsea Caldwell, 18, of 17 E. Main St., Ware Shoals; Christopher Maggiacomo, 22, of Abbeville; and Bryson Stephens, 17, of 146 Rhett Court, Greenwood, were all charged with possession of a pistol by certain persons unlawful in connection with the incident.
Bradley Luke, 17, of 107 Bedford Road, Greenwood, faces a weapons count of unlawful possession firearm/ammunition by a felon stemming from the arrest.
Greenwood County deputies were called out to respond to reports of shots fired in Hodges along Miller Road near the intersection of Nation Road. Officers spotted a white SUV implicated in the reports and stopped the vehicle at a gas station along U.S. Route 25. According to a Greenwood County incident report:
All four suspects were in the vehicle. Officers noticed a bulge in the Abbeville suspect's pants when he exited the SUV and found it to be the magazine of a gun. Officers then learned there was a gun in the vehicle. When questioned about the incident, all four suspects confessed to the group shooting the gun while they were traveling down Miller Road.
Three of the suspects told officers the three males in the vehicle fired one shot each, and the female Ware Shoals teenager was the only one who didn't fire a shot because she was driving. The weapon was a .380-caliber Jimenez handgun, and the magazine held three unspent .380-caliber shells in it.
