More than 430 poll workers at 91 polling places will shepherd Lakelands voters through the South Carolina Democratic and Republican primaries Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Those polling places and workers have few local races to oversee. In fact, Greenwood, McCormick and Saluda counties will have no county-level races on the ballot Tuesday. Abbeville County Council District 2’s Democratic primary is the only contested position.
“I’d say it’s been awhile since we’ve had something like this,” McCormick County elections director Sojourner Jennings said.
All four Lakelands county elections directors said voters can find which precinct and polling place they should report to at scvotes.org. There, voters should click on the “Find My Polling Place” link.
Voters will then need their county, first name, last name and date of birth.
