Four people were arrested following a drug raid in Greenwood during the weekend.
Bessie Blanding, 49, of 511 Griffin Ave., Greenwood, was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, manufacture, distribution, etc. of cocaine base, and simple possession of marijuana in connection with the incident. Aimee Gambrell, 36, of Waterloo, faces a count of conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine, while Alfonso Spearman, 46, and Earl Chandler, 51, both of Greenwood, were charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.
Agents from the multi-jurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit and the Greenwood County SWAT team descended upon the residence along Griffin Avenue about 6 p.m. Friday.
According to a Greenwood police report, agents encountered the four suspects and three other adults at the home, and saw one of the men running from the home as they arrived. Agents did not catch that suspect, but were able to positively identify him.
