With the sun shining through more than an acre of the Grace Street Park site, nearly 30 volunteers showed up to help clear future site of the Greenwood Dog Park.
Kim Owens, acting-chairwoman of the Dog Park Committee, said the assistance of the City of Greenwood and volunteers is invaluable.

“We don’t have a timeframe for the completion of the park but we’ve moved much faster than expected,” she said.
The proposed park will have four areas: a big dog area, a little dog area, a central community area and, if a grant application comes through, a dog agility area. Also included will be fountains and a dog shower to help pet owners cool off and clean their dogs after a good time at the park.
