Deputies arrested a man who allegedly had methamphetamines in his possession.
Greenwood County Sheriff's Office arrested Christopher T. Roberts, of North Hospital Street, Greenwood, and charged him with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamines and driving without a valid license.
According to GCSO reports, on Friday a deputy saw the suspect driving in the parking lot at Walmart. The deputy reported he had prior knowledge the suspect did not have a valid driver's license.
The deputy stopped the suspect at a nearby gas station and placed him in investigative detention. According to the incident report, the deputy asked the suspect if he had any contraband, and the suspect said there were two bags of methamphetamines in a computer bag on the front seat of the suspect's vehicle.
The deputy found two bags that contained a white powder. The contents of the bags were field tested and tested positive as meth. The deputy also reportedly found a glass pipe in the computer bag in the suspect's car.
The suspect was arrested and taken to Greenwood County Detention Center.
