Bradley man charged with criminal domestic violence

A Bradley man faces aggravated assault allegations following a domestic dispute Thursday night.
Sherman Wright, 43, was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature in connection with the incident.
According to a Greenwood County incident report, the victim told officers the suspect hit her in the side of the neck with a knife. He then threatened to kill the woman while holding a hammer and a knife in his hands. She said he also threw her down on an outside porch.
According to the report, the suspect told officers the woman hit him in the mouth and he took the hammer from her before officers arrived. Deputies took the man to the Greenwood County Detention Center, where he threatened to kill himself, the report noted.
