An Abbeville man faces a drug charge following an arrest in Greenwood on Thursday afternoon.
Christopher Maggiacomo, 23, of 4854 S.C. Highway 71, Abbeville, was charged with possession with intent to distribute in connection with the incident.
Maggiacomo was wanted in connection to a June finding in which Greenwood County narcotics agents located 266 grams of a substance thought to be marijuana in his car. According to reports, the suspect admitted to officers there was pot in his car and told them where to find it.
According to multiple Greenwood County incident reports investigators received a tip Thursday that Maggiacomo was residing at an Avondale residence along Sylvan Road. Officers went to the home, found the suspect outside the home and arrested him.
Deputies then went inside and found about 25 grams of a substance thought to be marijuana and a .40-caliber gun that had been reported stolen from a Greenwood home along Sagewood Road in August. The suspect told officers he took the gun from another man at a residence on Greene Street, and indicated the man probably acquired the weapon by stealing it.
