Women’s Health Classic’s final round day includes Mother’s Day brunch with local dishes

When the LPGA Symetra Tour heads into its final round at the Links at Stoney Point for the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic on Sunday, it will be Mother’s Day.
A chef from Bermudas Restaurant serves out food to those attending the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic.

Stoney Point owners Jim and Denise Medford have not forgotten moms and their families as hosts of the first LPGA event at their course. The couple has planned a Mother’s Day Brunch Sunday that’s being billed as a “taste of Greenwood” featuring food prepared by Bermuda’s, the restaurant in the clubhouse at Stoney Point; Grits and Groceries, from Belton; and Lee’s Barbecue and Catering Service, from Waterloo.
Brunch is 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $25 for adults with reduced prices available for children 5-12. Reservations are suggested. For reservations or information, call 864-942-0903 or visit www.linksatstoneypoint.com.
Tickets for brunch also count as a ticket for the golf tournament. The brunch, sponsored by H.H. Turner Jewelers, will include a trunk show from the local jewelry store.
Brunch includes items prepared by Bermuda’s chef William “T.J.” Keith and his staff along with pork with apple butter barbecue sauce and sweet potato biscuits from Grits and Groceries and hash and rice, barbecue chicken, cole slaw and banana pudding from Lee’s Barbecue.
